Global Politics Workshop @ NSSR Politics

The Global Politics Workshop is an ongoing workshop for work-in-progress by graduate students and faculty in NSSR Politics; visiting scholars and postdoctoral fellows; and invited presenters from other institutions. Running since 2018, and hosted by the global politics faculty in the department, it generally meets monthly on Tuesdays, 12:00-2:00 PM at NSSR.

It focuses on empirically-informed research on political processes that are transnational, international, or global. It is open in terms of thematic focus – migration, law, environment, diplomacy, security, institutions, international order, development are all possible themes, among many others. Methodologically, it is connected to an emerging spectrum of critical approaches to studying the global, ranging from historically-oriented and theoretically-informed work in international relations, to site-based research that interrogates the global in place, to experimental and interdisciplinary interventions in global politics.

If you would like to present your work at GPW, or otherwise be connected to the workshop, please email Alexandra Delano and Rafi Youatt.
